Artist Statement Daniel Wend is visual artist working in the Pacific Northwest. Raised in Michigan, Dan now lives in Western Washington, where he continues to follow his creative instincts and chart his artistic course. In addition to Dan’s art and photography, he enjoys putting himself into landscapes by climbing mountains, exploring canyons, and backpacking into remote wilderness areas with a camera and his sketchpad. His work is in public, private, and corporate collections and he has shown his art and photography in galleries and exhibits around the US, and in online art venues. Dan has held positions in marketing, design, and communications and he is an entrepreneur, business owner, husband, and father.
